Hemp
Mini Backpack

I
still had a leather purse from my non-vegan days and
just picked up this backpack style bag to replace
it. This bag is made of sturdy hemp and goes with everything
(at least everything summer). It is so functional with a front
zipper area for your phone and keys, and a larger zipper area
to carry all of those "necessities" that we just can't
live without.

Baking Company, Inc.

Alternative
Baking Company, Inc. makes some of the best vegan chocolate
chip cookies in the world. I love these cookies. I tried the
Colossal Chocolate Chip Cookie for the first time a couple
of weeks ago when I went to farmer's market. It was love at
first
bite
for
sure.
Everyone in my family loved them, except my mom. I am looking
forward to trying all of their other great flavors, such as
Explosive
Espresso
Chip,
Luscious
Lemon
Poppyseed,
Peanut Butter Persuasion, Phenomenal Pumpkin Spice, Outrageous
Oatmeal Raisin, Double Chocolate Decadence, Peanut Butter Chocolate
Chip, and Mac the Chip. They also have a line of gluten-free
cookies, for those who are trying to reduce wheat consumption
or who are gluten intolerant.

Extreme Cuisine: Going the Wrong Direction Towards
a Harmonious Existence with Animals
I recently read about a new type of cuisine in
the Phoenix New Times, that curdled my stomach. They call this
type of cooking, extreme cuisine. Now let me preface this, by
stating that not all extreme cuisine goes to the extent of Chef
Kaz Yamamoto of Phoenix, Arizona. Some of it is truly about using
everyday ingredients in unique and interesting ways, but Chef
Yamamoto, defies reason and humanity with the foods that he is
feeding his patrons. Some of the items that appear at the secret
dinner parties of Chef Yamamoto include domesticated dog, lion,
zebra, kangaroo, and monkey. Chef Yamamoto takes pleasure in
hunting and killing, beautiful, exotic, and often endangered
animals.
In addition to raising Bichon's, a sweet face little
dog, and hunting beautiful, exotic animals from all over African
and Asian, Chef Yamamoto utilizes endangered and protected plants
such as the Sonoran
saguaro’s
to specialty dishes. He then prepares
his prey, at ever
changing
remote
locations,
because
what he
is doing is not only unethical on so many levels,
but also often illegal. And yet, he flaunts the law, stating
that that
Maricopa County Sheriffs department is incompetent and he
dares anyone to stop him.
But Chef Yamamoto is just one part of the equation,
the real criminals, in my opinion, are the patrons demanding
the adrenaline rush associated with consuming the unconsumable.
Chef Yamamoto's patrons consist of some of the world's wealthiest
and most famous consumers. These are people who are easily
bored, people who are always looking for the latest trend and
are shocked
by nothing (also a trait
of sociopaths). Today’s
rich and famous have done everything and seen everything and
go to far reaching extremes to wowed and this is just want
Chef Yamamoto provides.
Please help put a stop to Chef Kaz Yamamoto and
those like him, by filing a complaint with PETA at http://www.peta.org.
Through the voices of concerned citizens, we can help put an
end to this most grievous form of extreme cuisine.
