Cindy, thank you for a great, great post. Totally informative and interesting, not to mention insightful! Though many of us do kinda know about some of what you wrote, it's good to see it again - and validation is important!

In that article you linked to "Got Vegan," which was a fab read, i love what the writer said, especially this little nugget (no pun intended!):

"Animals, more than any other oppressed group in our society, cannot speak up for themselves. When is the last time you saw an actual chicken demonstrating outside of KFC? You are the only voice the animals have."

I am staying FAR away from xylitol and Mattie will never get near anything with that in it. Thanks so much, Cindy. VERY important.

Thank you for this post! I agree that every step that every company takes to be more healthy, earth friendly, compassionate, etc., is a good thing!

Also, thank you very much for the Xylitol post. I have been consuming mints with this in it because they are supposed to be good for your teeth. I only have them at work where my pets aren't but it is good to know! I am going to mention this to the store that I purchased them in. She said she was going to carry them until she heard something negative. This is certainly negative! I am also going to feature you in my shout out post today. Have a good one!!!
