I love summertime. There is nothing better than being outside, lounging in a pool, going for long walks, and for those extra hot days cooling off at the beach. Okay so it is really, really hot today and my pool is a small blow up pool, but who cares. I will be sitting in it to stay cool today. I definitely do not plan to cook in my house tonight, because it is going to be hot and I certainly don’t want to make it hotter by adding heat from the stove and the oven. I plan to do baked potatoes again on the grill and I picked up some corn on the cobb to barbecue. I’ll add a little romaine salad with tomato, cucumber, pepperoncinis, garlic stuffed olives and some balsamic vinegarette salad dressing and it will be the perfect summertime dinner.
I started working out again today for the first time in years. It felt so good. We cleaned out our garage this weekend and got our gym set up. It makes a great workout area. It felt good lifting weights, but I know I will be sore tomorrow. As for aerobic activity, just long walks for now. I am really out of shape and need to work up to more intense workouts. I want this to be longterm, so I don’t want to burn myself out in the first couple of days and then give up. I can’t wait to return to my former healthy self. I have been on the right track with eating, hard to eat too bad when vegan, now it is time to exercise. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Good for you on the workouts. You know it’s good for you in so many ways. I am cheering you on here in SoCal!
Stay cool in whatever pool you can… i totally hear you. I laughed when i read that it was a “kiddie” pool you’re in. Funny lady!!
